Our story

Seanna and Tristan are proud citizens of the Metis Nation of Alberta and have embarked on a journey as many of their past ancestors have, entrepreneurs. Dad, Richard (Ricky), is a proud Métis from High Prairie, Alberta, who has proudly instilled the values of hard work and resilience that Métis citizens hold. Just as the historic voyageurs created opportunities to support their families, Seanna and Tristan are embarking on their own journey to share a piece of their culture with you while supporting their own education and athletic endeavours. Their entrepreneurial spirit will support them as they further their interests and grow into proud Métis Citizens. Tristan is heavily involved in hockey and is proud to participate as a MNA Voyageur at the Alberta Native Provincials each year. Seanna plans to pursue a Nursing degree at the University of Alberta next fall.

Land Acknowledgment

We acknowledge that the land we reside upon has been a travelling route and is home to Indigenous Peoples from all across Turtle Island. Their spiritual and practical relationship to the land have created a rich heritage for learning as we move forward towards true reconciliation and honour this beautiful land together.

Rupertsland Institute helped the siblings learn how to run their business through a small offering of classes that were available for Métis youth under 18.
